The Digital Village is a grassroots digital home for, and curated by, artists, world builders, spiritualists, culture workers + care workers who are interested in strategically reshaping how we live life to survive as wholly as possible in our post-apocalyptic future.
It is an experiment that seeks to operate outside the larger digital world as a means of protecting our privacy, practicing hyper-local community building and moving beyond digital spectacle as a means of surviving digi-capitalism and digi-fascism. Our interest areas include:
- up/recycling tech
- repairing tech
- community-owned infrastructure
- decentralization + federation
- privacy + security
- self + community hosting/networking
- digital migration
We learn, experiment and teach these areas through:
- workshops and trainings
- community conversations
- practicing mutual aid
- zine making + collaging
- sharing documentation
- providing consultations
